WLA currently holds 501(C)(3) status from the federal goverment.
The WLA was formed out of an effort by the HLA to preserve the open space know as the Wild Lake Conservation area comprizing more than 404 acres to the west of Highland Lake and following Valley Road along the general area of the HLA membership.
